Mauritius does boast its fair share of luxury hotels, which is not surprising as it is a popular tourist destination. There are a large number of 5 star hotels. The Royal Palm Hotel is one of Mauritius very popular 5 star deluxe hotels. It is located on the northern beach in an exquisite part of the town. The staff are very friendly, the food is excellent and the views to die for!
The Oberoi Mauritius is part of the leading group of hotels owned by the Oberoi group. Every room at the Oberoi is luxuriously appointed with hardwood four poster beds, thick pile carpets. The bathroom has a shower and a bath tub. The Four Seasons is also a member of a group of hotels. The Four Seasons Mauritius is located on a 25 hectare property in Anahita alongside a golf course and private residences. The resort has slightly over 120 villas divided into four categories; beach pool villas, ocean pool villas, garden pool villas and mangrove pool villas. All villas have an outdoor shower, natural stone floors, walk in closets and a tub. The resort features 4 restaurants, a bar and a kid’s club. Activities guests can partake in include kite surfing, wind surfing, snorkeling and diving.

La Residence Hotel is another one of the famous luxury hotels in Mauritius. The architecture of the hotel is based on the previous century’s buildings and is almost palace like. The hotel is located in the East or Mauritius, in Belle Marre. The hotel comprises almost 30 suites and 135 rooms, with a pool, gymnasium, steam and sauna and a spa. Complementary activities for hotel guests include water skiing, snorkeling and boat trips.
